Advent & Christmas

at Lordship Community Church

Our Advent/Christmas theme invites us to make more room in “The Inn” of our lives for compassion and hospitality to bring more hope, peace, love, and joy to the world.

There are several ways to engage with our worship and service in this time.

We know the rhythms of life fluctuate wildly these days and so we are offering several rhythms of worship for you to choose from.

All of the following opportunities are based on the content of our worship theme so no matter how you engage, you will find a meaningful time of connecting with the Holy so that you can experience “making room” in your life for feeding and caring for your spiritual self and finding a way to offer your love to others.

And always remember that our pastor is ready to connect with you for a phone call, Zoom meetup, visit (if safe), should you need to connect outside of any of our planned activities. You belong. You are loved. You are not alone! Click HERE to get in touch.

Worship with Us

Sundays at 10:00 AM
Christmas Eve at 5:00 PM

The sanctuary has a special quality in Advent. Adorned with our favorite trimmings, and decorated to visually represent our theme, we have added a special symbol this year (a barn door) that invites us to open the doors of our hearts and church, making “more room in the Inn” for hope, peace, love, and joy. Worship with us in person or online.

Worship from the comfort of your own couch, kitchen table, or wherever you are. We'll be live-streaming on our Facebook Page, YouTube Channel, and at thelordshipchurch.org/live

In Person

We are gathering in-person in our sanctuary for worship.
We require everyone to wear a mask and practice physical distancing. We have installed air purifiers and sanitize regularly.

Sanctuary Open House

Come experience the quiet solitude of the Sanctuary with our self-guided, no-touch worship stations.

The doors of our church will be open for an open house on Wednesday, December 22, from 4-7 PM. Just come in and rest, get some peace, light a candle, or visit the meditation stations. That’s it. Someone will be present to be sure it is a safe space but you don’t have to talk to anyone if you prefer some solitude. There will be a place where you can let us know if you need anything. Prayers, food, assistance of any kind.

Our doors and our hearts are open. You are not alone.

At Home Devotional

These devotionals are based on our weekly worship. Even if you are coming to the sanctuary for Sunday worship each week, you can use this booklet to deepen your reflections during the week. And if you cannot come to worship for one or more weeks, you’ll be able to use this to light your own Advent candles at home and enter into the story of God’s welcome no matter when or where.
